2006 Viking 68 Convertible

This 2006 Viking 68 Convertible is a fiberglass sportfisher powered by twin MTU M91 diesel engines rated at 2,030 horsepower each. The boat measures 68 feet in length with a 19-foot beam and accommodates four cabins with four heads. Twin 27-kilowatt Onan generators provide electrical power.

The electronics suite has been substantially updated and includes Furuno triple 19-inch displays, a 12-inch touchscreen in the mezzanine, a 12-inch tower-mounted chart plotter, a 6-foot 12-kilowatt X-Class Furuno radar, DFF3 sonar, CH-303 drop-down sonar, and autopilot. Additional equipment includes a new Spot Zero, a new Yacht Controller, six Sea Vision full-color underwater lights, tri-color Apeiron LED exterior lighting, and a sea recovery watermaker.

Recent refurbishment and updates include a full hull paint in 2020 and Awlgrip topsides, new bottom paint, new cutlass bearings, new props, new headliner, new carpeting throughout, new diamond-stitched exterior upholstery, new salon ice maker, new Viking galley appliances, a new EZ2CY enclosure, a 4,000-pound Maxwell windlass, and a retractable cockpit windlass. Teak elements—the transom and toe rail—have been refinished, as have the cockpit covering boards. The cockpit includes a fighting chair and helm chairs, both recently refinished, a misting system, a grill, and a Dometic ice chipper.
