The 2007 Amel 54 is a 54-foot fiberglass ketch designed for serious cruising. Built on a fin keel hull, it combines seaworthiness with refined construction. The boat is powered by a Volvo D3-110 diesel engine rated at 110 horsepower, equipped with a folding propeller and fitted with an electric windlass for practical anchoring.
Equipment reflects a well-maintained cruising platform. Dual windlasses, standing rigging by Acmo updated in 2025, and stainless steel chain form the ground tackle system. The hydraulic passerelle with remote control eases boarding, while Simpson electric davits handle the tender—a 2019 Highfield CL 290 aluminum dinghy with double keel, paired with a serviced Honda 15 hp outboard.
Power generation and systems are modern and capable. An Onan 9 kVA genset (540 hours), 3000 watt inverter installed in 2021, 990 watts of solar panels, and a watermaker (166 hours) support extended cruising independence. Gel batteries are scheduled for replacement in May 2026. Navigation includes AIS from 2021. The diesel engine shows 1950 hours of use.
