2007 Bavaria Vision 44

A 2007 Bavaria Vision 44 cruising sailboat built in fiberglass with a deep lead keel. The yacht features a superlative deck-saloon design by J&J Design and carries a 9/10th fractional sloop rig with furling mast and forestay. The main and genoa are both furling sails fitted in 2024, and all control lines lead back to the cockpit for ease of handling. A removable bowsprit and split backstay with tensioner provide additional performance capability. Deck surfaces include teak laid cockpit sole, seats, and aft platform with a sail locker in the focsle accessed separately from the forward deck.

Power comes from a Volvo Penta D2-75 diesel engine producing 75 horsepower, paired with a Saildrive and four-blade folding propeller with rope cutter. Engine hours stand at 1,470 as of November 2025. A Side-Power bow thruster of 75 kilogram force provides additional maneuvering assistance. Fuel capacity is 210 liters and fresh water capacity is 360 liters. The electrical system includes 12-volt and 220-volt circuits with shore supply capability, dual 180 amp-hour deep-cycle batteries, and two 180-watt solar panels with MPPT controller.

The accommodation comprises three double cabins sleeping six in total, with two heads. The forward master cabin features a large double bed, hanging locker, and storage, served by an en-suite head with shower cubicle, toilet, and washbasin. The main saloon contains a portside U-shaped dinette and starboard armchairs with coffee table, while a portside galley abaft features a double sink and generous worktop. The starboard navigation center has a chart table and switchboard. Two aft cabins provide additional sleeping berths, and a spacious second head serves those areas. Climate control includes 19,000 BTU air conditioning in the saloon and master cabin. Domestic systems feature hot and cold pressure water with a 240-volt boiler, electric cooker with oven, top-loading and front-loading refrigeration, and Jabsco marine toilets with electric pumpout.

Navigation equipment includes a Raymarine E120 GPS plotter in the cockpit, 2-kilowatt Radome radar, wind and tridata instruments, ST6002 autopilot, Class B AIS transponder, and dual VHF radios with cockpit repeater. Safety inventory comprises a four-man liferaft, EPIRB, horse-shoe buoy with light, life jackets, and bilateral bilge pumping. Deck equipment includes an electric anchor windlass with remote control, 25-kilogram main anchor with 50 meters of chain, and an AWY Marine RHIB tender with 6 horsepower outboard and davit. Additional features include bimini top, sprayhood, boom tent, cockpit cushions, and comprehensive mooring and deck gear.
