2007 Chaparral Signature 280

The 2007 Chaparral Signature 280 is a 31-foot fiberglass cruiser built for coastal exploration. Twin Volvo Penta 5.0GXi engines, each producing 220 horsepower, deliver responsive handling and efficient mid-range cruising suitable for Gulf Islands and Sunshine Coast runs. The boat has a 100-gallon fuel capacity and draws 2 feet 9 inches, managing shallow anchorages with confidence. Recent engine service completed in May 2025 included new fuel pump and steering cable installation.

The cabin sleeps four adults comfortably across a convertible V-berth forward, a spacious mid-cabin berth, and a convertible dinette. The full galley features a stove, sink, storage, and a new refrigerator installed in August 2024. An enclosed head with shower and VacuFlush system serves the accommodation area.

The bright, open cockpit is laid out for entertaining and day cruising, with wraparound seating, helm chair, companion lounge, and an extended swim platform. Bow thruster batteries were replaced in August 2024. Shore power connection is installed. A 6-foot Highfield inflatable dinghy with low-hours Tohatsu outboard is included, providing practical tender capability for anchoring out or shore access.
