The 2007 Chaparral Signature 290 is a 31-foot fiberglass cruiser powered by twin Volvo Penta five-liter engines totaling 540 horsepower. The boat reaches speeds of 34 knots and cruises at 27 knots. It features a Kohler 5-kilowatt gasoline generator with liquid cooling and is equipped with a Lowrance chart plotter including side and down scan sonar, plus integrated engine telematics. The helm includes a new Uniden marine radio and auto-deploying trim tabs that maintain level running and improve hole shot and fuel economy with a single button press.
Below deck, the cabin offers a queen berth with memory foam mattress topper and a full wet head with electric water heating that also draws heat from the port engine. The boat has been fitted with custom 14 3/4 by 17 pitch propellers to optimize performance and efficiency.
The hull uses ablative paint that naturally sheds marine growth as the boat moves through the water. The boat is currently maintained in wet slip.
