The 2007 Cobalt 262 is a 26-foot fiberglass runabout built with Kevlar reinforcement and composite construction throughout the hull and transom. Powered by a 425-hp Mercruiser engine, the boat reaches a top speed of 55 mph and cruises at 30 mph. The design features a sharp deadrise with reversed chines, dual piston trim tabs, a walk-through transom door, extended swim platform, and a bimini arch with a large diameter wake tower and rod holders.
The cockpit layout centers on a double-wide flip-lip helm seat that accommodates four adults, with a wraparound lounge seating area. A head compartment is fitted below. The boat includes a JL Audio 800-watt system with 10 speakers, tower-mounted speakers, and a wireless remote for the Clarion tuner with Bluetooth connectivity. Canvas covering and bolsters at the swim step are part of the setup.
Recent work includes an engine top-end rebuild, new shifter and cables, replacement of the master wheel, and new cockpit paneling. The helm seat upholstery was refreshed several years ago. Stainless-steel windshield braces, bow scuff plate, and mid-ship cleats are standard equipment. A Captain's Call Corsa switchable through-hull exhaust system and multi-frequency fish finder with side scan sonar are installed.
The boat is supported by a matching trailer fitted with newer surge brakes, hydraulic lines, and four class E Goodyear Marathon tires plus two spares. All four calipers have been renewed.
