This 86-foot expedition-style motor yacht was built by Carey Shipyard in New Zealand in 2007 to a design by Richard McBride of McBride Design Ltd. The full-displacement fiberglass hull features a 50mm Macrocarpa carvel construction with epoxy sheathing and teak decks, designed to handle challenging ocean conditions. Naiad stabilizers are installed to reduce motion underway.
Power comes from twin Yanmar diesel engines producing 660 horsepower total, delivering a maximum speed of 13.5 knots and a cruising speed of 10 knots. The shallow draft and ocean-crossing capability reflect the yacht's expedition-yacht heritage, with a cruising range of 2,400 nautical miles at 10 knots.
Accommodation includes six cabins and five heads, providing sleeping and sanitary facilities for extended voyages. The layout and construction throughout support comfortable extended-range cruising in varied sea conditions.
