This 2007 Custom IMOCA 60 was originally designed by Finot-Conq for Alex Thomson as Hugo Boss, which finished second in the Barcelona World Race in 2008. The boat has been continuously developed and optimized over its racing career. A comprehensive refit in 2018 added foils, a new coach roof, structural reinforcements, and a revised ballast configuration. The 60-foot fiberglass hull carries a 18.21-foot beam and is powered by a single diesel engine.
Recent upgrades through 2024 include new standing rigging, mainsail, J2, J3, and small Gennaker, as well as rudder bearings and a Mastervolt system installed in 2023. All systems are serviced annually with non-destructive testing of the mast and keel. The boat holds full IMOCA class certification as of 2024 and is equipped with foils for performance racing.
The addition of foils and the boat's continuous optimization make it a capable platform for IMOCA campaign sailing. All major systems have been maintained to racing standards, with recent upgrades supporting competitive offshore performance.
