This 2007 Dragonfly 35 is a fiberglass catamaran built for fast, stable cruising. The 35-foot beam gives the boat exceptional width and shallow draft, allowing access to remote anchorages and beaches where deeper-hulled yachts cannot reach. Powered by a single 28 hp Volvo diesel engine with a retractable bow thruster, the catamaran is rigged with modern sails including a full-batten mainsail, jib on roller furling, asymmetric spinnaker, and gennaker on a dedicated furler.
The boat has undergone substantial equipment updates and refits over the past several years. The standing rigging was replaced in 2017, along with the boom and waterstays cables. Sails were upgraded to Elvstrom Epex models in 2020, and the gennaker system was fitted with a Facnor FX 2500 furler that same year. The deck features two electric roof winches, electric anchor windlass, and a carbon tiller.
Navigation and electronics have been comprehensively modernized with 2023 upgrades including a Raymarine EVO P70 S autopilot, I70 S multifunction display with four screens, AXIOM 7 chartplotter, and Navionnics electronic charts. Communications equipment includes VHF radio at the chart table, AIS transceiver, and WiFi interface. Power systems include dual 100 amp lithium service batteries installed in 2021, a Victron charger, and 150 watts of solar panels. Additional amenities include diesel heating with three outlets, LED interior lighting, a 4-person liferaft, and fresh antifouling applied in 2025. Trampolines were replaced in 2025.
