2007 Dufour 525 Grand Large

This 2007 Dufour 525 Grand Large is a 50-foot fiberglass cruising sailboat built for extended passage-making and comfortable living aboard. The yacht was comprehensively refitted between 2022 and 2024, with systematic replacement and renewal of major systems, rigging, sails, and interior finishes. A Yanmar 110 hp diesel engine powers the boat, fitted new in 2022 with 320 hours on the running total.

The interior arranges four double cabins and five heads, including a forward owner's cabin with its own bathroom. Full teak joinery with white accents runs throughout, complemented by refreshed interior woodwork and newly laid floorboards. The galley features a three-burner stove with oven, and separate refrigerator and freezer units with new motors. Accommodation cushions and the hardtop seating are new in similar leather.

Navigation and propulsion equipment installed during the refit includes a complete Raymarine electronics suite with two GPS units (one 12-inch display), Quantum 2 Doppler radar, AIS transceiver, four wind stations, and two autopilot actuators. A bow thruster with electric control and a three-blade folding propeller with titanium-steel construction support handling. The sailplan comprises a full-batten mainsail with single-line reefing, 130 percent genoa, and a parasailor, controlled by a Selden 404S roller furler installed in 2024.

Power and infrastructure were renewed with a 6000-watt inverter, quick-disconnect charge controller and battery charger, 60-liter calorifier, and three 200-amp service batteries plus dedicated engine battery. Standing and running rigging was replaced in 2023, along with new bimini and spray hood covers, stainless rudder coupling kit, and interior LED lighting throughout. A water maker, automatic bilge pump, complete safety kit, folding aluminum boarding ladder, removable tender davits, and dual sets of rudder wheels complete the specification.
