A Doug Petersen-designed Franchini 63 in the modern Sport configuration, this 66-foot sailing yacht balances performance with substantial cruising comfort. Built in fiberglass with dark blue topsides, she was delivered in 2007 as one of only five Franchini 63s created through the collaboration between Massimo Franchini's yard and the renowned designer. The boat remains under her original ownership.
The interior centers on a three-cabin layout with the owner's stateroom positioned aft and twin guest cabins forward, supplemented by a crew cabin. A central guest cockpit connects to an aft helm station. Below deck, accommodation is supported by four heads and a full galley equipped with Miele appliances including a dishwasher, microwave, and washing machine. Climate control comes from a Veco-Climma inverter air-conditioning system, while entertainment includes smart TV systems throughout.
A Yanmar 200 hp diesel engine provides primary propulsion, backed by a Westerbeke 12 kw diesel generator. A bowthruster aids maneuvering. The yacht carries a MaxSpar in-mast furling mast with rod standing rigging. Sail inventory includes recently replaced Banks mainsail and genoa, a North Sails staysail, and a gennaker. An Antal powered winch package manages sail handling, while a Bamar electric genoa furler adds convenience. Navigation relies on a recently installed Garmin electronics package with chart plotters and radar. New batteries and a Mastervolt inverter charger support onboard systems.
A 2023 refit addressed major structural and systems components: new teak decks, standing rigging, sails, and all seacocks were replaced, along with fresh batteries, a new inverter, and updated electronics. An Opacmare electro-hydraulic folding passerelle provides boarding access. The yacht comes with a rigid-bottomed tender equipped with a Yamaha 20 hp outboard.
