The 2007 Hacker-Craft 32 Sportabout is a hand-built wooden classic powered by twin MerCruiser Horizon V8 engines rated at 350 horsepower each. The boat reaches a cruising speed of 26 knots and a maximum speed of nearly 48 knots. Built from mahogany with a traditional Hacker stain and dark walnut sides, this 32-foot yacht features a classic V-hull design that reflects American wooden boat craftsmanship. The boat was restored in 2021 by Hacker-Craft Boat Company and has accrued only 115 engine hours.
The yacht accommodates leisure cruising and entertaining with a mahogany picnic table, refrigerator, and full waterline mooring cover. Interior upholstery is finished in Prodigy Cream. A marine stereo system with four hidden speakers provides entertainment, while a Nightwave Marine color night vision camera with WiFi and Bluetooth offers visibility for docking and navigation. The boat is equipped with both bow and stern thrusters that were recently upgraded.
Navigation and utility equipment includes newly installed custom brass propellers—one set calibrated for sea level and another for high altitude operation. A new anchor has also been installed. The bottom paint uses Prodigy Cream finish, and the hull is a no-soak design requiring no preparation before use. A 2016 Hacker-Craft triple axle trailer is included. The boat has been maintained exclusively in fresh water on Lake Tahoe since new.
