The 2008 Cobalt 242 is a 24-foot fiberglass runabout built around the proven design heritage of the Cobalt 232. Powered by a single 300-horsepower Volvo Penta gasoline engine, it combines the family's characteristic ride and performance in a slightly larger platform suited to extended cruising.

The boat features an enclosed head compartment, audio and navigation systems, and a functional cabin layout. Deck amenities include high-back captain's chairs, wide bow walk-thru doors, stainless steel fixtures throughout, and an extended swim platform with optional lighting.
