This 2008 Contender 23 Open is a center console fishing boat built on a proven deep-V hull with a 24.5-degree deadrise designed to handle substantial seas. The fiberglass construction uses hand-laid biaxial and triaxial materials with a high-density foam-cored transom, and the two-piece hull design maximizes cockpit space.

Power comes from a 2022 Mercury 300XL Verado engine, delivering cruising speeds around 30 knots and a top speed of approximately 41 knots. The boat's signature feature is a fold-down tower with full upper-station controls that facilitates sight fishing while remaining trailerable.

The deck layout prioritizes function and storage. A 140-gallon insulated forward fish box sits recessed in the deck, paired with a 50-gallon in-deck livewell equipped with high-volume plumbing. Additional dry storage lockers forward, gunwale-mounted rod holders, and four rocket launchers on the T-top round out the fishing setup. Recessed bow rails complete the practical design.

A 2015 Venture dual-axle aluminum float-on trailer is included. New electronics have been installed to support modern operation.
