2008 Custom Fauroux 50

This 2008 Custom Fauroux 50 is a one-off sailing yacht built by the Fauroux shipyard with composite infusion sandwich construction combining glass and Airex foam. The hull was completely repainted two years ago. Carbon mast and boom paired with deliberately oversized deck hardware provide rigidity, light weight, and strong performance characteristics suitable for both offshore cruising and racing. The boat has undergone rigorous preventive maintenance annually.

The deck is equipped with an electric primary winch, manual racing winches, carbon boom extension, carbon caprail, and carbon cockpit table. Two large aft lockers and a secure, ergonomic cockpit layout support extended sailing. A sun awning offers comfort while anchored. The standing rigging, ground tackle with rode last serviced three years ago, and bow portlight seals recently refitted in the past year demonstrate consistent technical upkeep.

Below deck, the interior provides generous volumes with practical layout: functional navigation station, L-shaped galley, bright saloon, and comfortable cabins. Three cabins and two heads accommodate the crew. Plexiglass was replaced five years ago. The sail plan emphasizes performance with a racing mainsail, two racing spinnakers (one nearly new with roughly fifteen hours use, one approximately one year old), code zero, and asymmetric spinnaker.

Navigation systems include a B&G H5000 autopilot ensuring precision and reliability. A single Nanni NA 60 diesel engine of 59 horsepower provides auxiliary power. This is a capable yacht designed equally for serious coastal cruising and competitive racing.
