2008 Dragonfly 35 Ultimate

The 2008 Dragonfly 35 Ultimate is a multihull sailing yacht built in fiberglass with a 35-foot length and 27-foot beam. Powered by a 30 hp Volvo diesel engine, it combines performance capability with comfortable cruising range. The boat underwent extensive refitting in winter 2024–2025, including a new carbon mast, rigging, sails, and propulsion systems. A new Elström genoa and full-batten main with three reefing points provide modern sail handling, supported by a Profurl furling system and asymmetric spinnaker for varied conditions.

The interior accommodates two double cabins—one forward and one aft—with a saloon to port featuring settees and single berth. A chart table occupies the aft port side. The galley includes a two-burner stove with separate oven, 12V refrigerator, and pressurized hot and cold water. An enclosed head with shower, basin, and marine toilet serves the accommodations. Heating runs via oil furnace with ducted air throughout the cabins, saloon, and head. Interior lighting is dimmable in the saloon.

The boat's electronics suite is comprehensive and newly installed: Raymarine i70S system with wind sensor, depth transducer, speed paddle, and fishfinder; 12-inch Axiom GPS with Navionics chart; Evolution autopilot with control displays; Icom VHF; and Starlink connectivity. Power systems consist of three 100Ah AGM batteries, a 3000W Multiplus charger-inverter, and solar panels totaling 240W across the main hull and floats, with provisions for additional portable panels. A new Victron control display monitors system status.

The cockpit features an electric Quick windlass, a pivoting table, and an integral hardtop cover. All control lines lead aft for single-handed or small crew operation. The boat carries a six-person life raft, horseshoe buoy, EPIRB, and full safety equipment. Additional gear includes a four-person inflatable tender with 3 hp Yamaha outboard, SUP board, and Iridium Go satellite phone.
