The FB Design Buzzi Rib 42 is a 43-foot rigid inflatable built on a fiberglass hull with twin 780 hp Seatek diesel engines equipped with Trimax drives. The boat reaches a maximum speed of 62 knots and cruises at 45 knots. The large inflatable collar and suspension system are engineered for stability and control in rough conditions, while the high cockpit sides and forward windshield provide protection for occupants. The hull is fully laminated in Kevlar 49, with stainless steel used throughout for underwater components, drives, and trim tabs.
The forward cabin is accessible through a door at the center of the cockpit and features a V-shaped berth and a removable table on a steel frame. A separate head with sink, toilet, and shower is located to the right of the entrance. The galley sits opposite and includes a refrigerator, sink, and electric oven. A folding soft bimini top closes off the cockpit for weather and sun protection.
The cockpit is fitted with four FB Design Tecno Single seats, each with electrically controlled pistons that adjust damping and support based on sea conditions, allowing the driver to transition between standing, sitting, and intermediate positions. In 2019, the teak deck and interior were fully renovated. The engines and gearboxes underwent overhaul in 2024 and have minimal running hours since completion.
