2008 Formula 40 Performance Cruiser

The 2008 Formula 40 Performance Cruiser is a mid-cabin cruiser built around comfort and usable space. Measuring 40 feet long with a 12.5-foot beam, the boat features a hardtop with full enclosure curtains and a spacious cockpit designed for six to eight adults. Twin Volvo IPS 500 diesel engines with joystick control power the yacht, supported by a Westerbeke 7.6-kilowatt diesel generator. The helm offers digital engine monitoring via Volvo Helmview, with Raymarine navigation electronics including a hybrid touch multifunction display, depth finder, GPS, HD digital radar, VHF radio, and autopilot.

Below deck, the master stateroom sits forward with a queen-size centerline berth, high-gloss wood cabinetry, cedar-lined hanging locker, and private access. The master head includes a separate shower stall, Corian vanity, vacuflush toilet system, and macerator pump-out. The salon features a large curved dinette to starboard with ultra-leather upholstery and a fully equipped galley to port, complete with Corian countertops, two-burner electric stove, stainless steel refrigerator, and microwave. The mid-cabin provides a large U-shaped seating area that converts to a double berth and includes its own flatscreen television.

Topside amenities include a foredeck sun pad, hardtop with two opening hatches, SeaDek faux teak cockpit flooring, hydraulic swim platform, and walk-through windshield. Navigation and anchoring systems comprise a Lewmar windlass with counter and plot anchor, chain counter, and remote spotlight. The engine room houses freshwater-cooled engines with recent service, Racor fuel filters, three sea strainers, automatic fire extinguisher, and bilge pump with high water alarm. The electrical system runs throughout with 110-volt GFCI outlets in the salon, head, galley, and mid-cabin, and the boat includes a 32-inch flatscreen television with satellite receiver in the salon.
