2008 Fountain 38 Sportfish Cruiser

This 2008 Fountain 38 is a fiberglass express cruiser powered by twin MerCruiser 496 MAG HO engines delivering 850 horsepower combined. The stepped hull design features an expanded chine width and reduced deadrise for lateral stability and improved ride quality across varying sea conditions. The boat reaches speeds of 70 mph and cruises at 55 mph.

The interior includes a forward queen centerline berth with privacy curtain, a full galley with refrigerator, microwave, cooktop, and water heater, a mid-cabin berth with privacy curtain, and a head with shower. Climate control is provided by air conditioning and heating. The expansive cockpit offers generous seating with cushions, a bimini top, enclosures, a wet bar, and an ice maker. Deck amenities include a windlass, remote spotlight, and underwater lighting. Twin fish and bait live wells with rod holders and dual outriggers serve fishing enthusiasts.

Electronics include dual NorthStar chartplotters, autopilot, radar, depth finder, and VHF radio. A Kohler 5.0 kW generator with 57 hours of operation provides onboard power alongside dual 30-amp shore power, three batteries with selector switches, and a three-bank charger. Navigation and entertainment systems feature a Kenwood stereo with remote control and television.

Recent work includes a complete transom rebuild with both outdrives and the transom assembly removed, inspected, and restored as needed. Fresh outdrive oil, new impellers, and new spark plugs were installed. Through-hull exhaust was cleaned and repaired. The boat comes with a custom aluminum tri-axle trailer equipped with a winch, dual spare tires, and hydraulic disc brakes on all axles.
