2008 Hatteras 72 Motor Yacht

This 72-foot Hatteras motor yacht represents the builder's refinement of hull design and construction developed over decades of production. The boat features a modified V-hull with double chine design intended to deliver stability and a soft ride while minimizing spray. The fiberglass hull was built using resin infusion techniques to reduce weight and increase stiffness.

Power comes from twin Caterpillar C32 diesel engines rated at 1,550 horsepower each, paired with ZF 2350 gearboxes. Propulsion is augmented by twin 38-horsepower ABT bow and stern thrusters and a Maxwell 4000 hydraulic windlass. For station-keeping and comfort, the boat carries ABT*TRAC active roll fin stabilizers and a 90,000 BTU chilled water climate system with heat. Electrical systems include twin Onan 27.5-kilowatt gensets, dual Victron Energy Quattro 5-kilowatt inverter-charger systems, and a Mastervolt Mass 24/100-3 charger. Additional systems include a SeaRecovery 1,400-gallon-per-day watermaker, fresh water purification system, fuel polishing system, and Starlink satellite internet.

The interior accommodates four staterooms forward with three ensuite heads, a dayhead on the main level, and separate crew quarters with head. Cherry wood high-gloss paneling and cabinetry throughout, with a bar in the main salon and internal staircase connecting the salon to crew quarters and engine room. Flybridge features hard front windows, windshield wipers, a powered glass sunroof measuring 5.5 by 9 feet, and full enclosure on sides and aft.

Navigation and control systems include complete Garmin and Maretron electronics, with engine controls and thruster controls integrated at port and starboard boatdeck stations and a port aftdeck station. The boat carries a Novurania 430DL center console tender with Yamaha 60-horsepower outboard and a Steelhead Marine boatdeck yacht crane.
