The Hunter 49 is a three-stateroom aft cockpit cruiser built on a fiberglass hull with a 49-foot length and 14.75-foot beam. Powered by a single 110 hp Yanmar diesel engine, the boat offers the volume and capability expected in this class for extended cruising passages.
The interior provides three staterooms and two heads, with substantial living space throughout. Accommodations are arranged to maximize comfort and functionality for extended time at sea.
Recent upgrades reflect preparation for serious cruising. A full eisenglass and screen cockpit enclosure was added in 2023. The electronics suite is current, with full Garmin systems including autopilot and AIS installed in 2024, alongside forward scan sonar. Power systems include a Victron lithium battery bank, a 1620-watt solar array with management, and a Fischer Panda generator. A watermaker and engine freshwater flush system support self-sufficiency. Three Dometic air conditioning units were added in 2024, and a new windlass was installed in 2025 along with additional bilge pumps. The sails are new from 2020, and the standing rigging was replaced in 2019. Other equipment includes an 85-pound Mantus anchor, an aftermarket reinforced forward bulkhead, and a Highfield CL310 inflatable tender. Starlink connectivity was added in 2025.
