2008 Hunter 49

This 2008 Hunter 49 is a three-cabin fiberglass cruising sailboat built for single-handed sailing and extended cruising. The yacht features the Hunter trademark of all sheets and halyards leading to the cockpit, with a dual-ended mainsheet on an electric winch for adjustments from either the cockpit or companionway. A Yanmar 110 hp diesel engine powers the boat, with a cruising speed of approximately 7 knots. The tall fractional B&R rig carries an in-mast furling mainsail, roller furling jib, and storm jib.

The interior spans three cabins with generous headroom of 6 feet 9 inches throughout. The master stateroom forward features a centerline queen bed with access on both sides, a separate shower compartment with teak bench, and an en suite head. Two guest cabins accommodate additional crew: the port cabin has a queen berth, while the starboard cabin includes a queen berth and a desk with swing-away stool. The galley is equipped with a three-burner propane stove and oven, deep double sink, microwave with built-in coffee maker, and two refrigerator and two freezer units. A washer-dryer combination unit is installed in the starboard cabin and has never been used.

In 2019, the yacht received significant electronics upgrades including dual AXIOM multifunction displays, Quantum Doppler radar, and AIS transceiver. Navigation electronics also include Raymarine depth and wind instruments with autopilot. Additional features include a Bose 5.1 surround sound system, TV, and an included life raft. The cockpit accommodates six or more with custom cushions and features a central table with icebox. Deck systems include an electric windlass with Delta anchor, electric cabin top winch, Flexiteek composite on cockpit seats, swim platform with folding ladder, and an outside shower.

The boat carries 100 gallons of fresh water in two tanks, 222 gallons of fuel capacity, and two holding tanks totaling 52 gallons. The engine has 1900 hours of operation. The yacht has a deep draft keel drawing 7 feet and features a rigging inspection completed in 2015. A new mainsail was installed in 2014.
