2008 Hylas 46

Shearwater is a 2008 Hylas 46, hull 62, designed by German Frers and built for extended cruising. This center cockpit sailing yacht features a fiberglass hull with a shoal draft keel drawing 5'8", making her well-suited for exploring shallow anchorages. At 46 feet with a 13-foot-9-inch beam, she combines the stability and seaworthiness the design is known for with practical two-stateroom accommodations.

The boat is comprehensively equipped for blue water cruising. She carries a Shaeffer in-boom mainsail furler, Furlex headsail and staysail furlers, electric winches, and a recently upgraded Doyle sail inventory. Navigation and engine monitoring rely on new Raymarine electronics installed in 2023. The Yanmar diesel engine and Fisher Panda genset both show low hours of use.

Accommodation and comfort systems reflect extensive investment.
