The 2008 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 54 DS is a 54-foot cruising yacht designed by Jacques Fauroux. She features a deck saloon layout with an aft cockpit, full teak decks, twin wheel steering, and a shoal keel. Power comes from a Yanmar 4JH4 HTE turbocharged diesel engine producing 110 horsepower, driving a three-bladed fixed propeller through shaft drive.
The boat is well equipped for serious cruising. A Lewmar 1500-watt windlass with remote controls, Sleipner bow and stern thrusters, and a 7-kilowatt Onan generator manage deck and ship operations. Water is produced by a Duo watermaker. The sail plan includes an in-mast furling mainsail and furling genoa, with standing rigging from 2021. Deck hardware comprises two Harken 70 two-speed and two Harken 46 two-speed electric winches. Canvas includes a sprayhood, bimini with zip-in sides and back, and a full winter cover. Ground tackle is a 33-kilogram Rocna anchor with 100 meters of 12-millimetre chain.
Accommodation is arranged in four cabins for eight berths: a master double aft and three double cabins forward. Two heads and two separate showers serve the interior. Main, aft, and forward cabins have electric heating. Air conditioning is throughout with four units. The galley includes a washing machine and dishwasher. Navigation and surveillance are handled by Raymarine systems: two E120 colour chartplotters, radar, GPS, ST6002 autopilot with gyro, ST60 tridata and wind instruments with repeaters, and a two-kilowatt Raydome. Safety equipment includes a 2.7-metre aluminium dinghy, eight-person life raft, EPIRB, and life jackets. Batteries are mostly from 2023–2025.
