2008 Leopard 46

The Leopard 46 is a 46-foot cruising catamaran designed by Morelli & Melvin and built by Robertson & Caine. The design balances sailing performance with comfortable liveaboard accommodations through distinctive stepped hulls featuring a longitudinal chine—a shape that narrows the waterline to reduce drag while flaring above water to maximize interior volume. The light displacement hull responds well to offshore conditions without the slamming common to older multihulls.

The cockpit is spacious and shaded by a hardtop bimini, flowing directly into the salon. A raised helm station positioned a few steps up offers 360-degree visibility and places all lines and winches within easy reach for short-handed sailing. A folding aft cockpit seat lowers to serve as a swim platform or dinghy dock. The salon is bright and ventilated through forward-opening ports and large windows.

Construction employs vacuum-bagged E-glass over balsa core, creating a strong yet lightweight structure. Engine compartments are accessible for maintenance. The yacht is powered by two Yanmar diesel engines of 108 horsepower each. The boat has been actively cruised and continuously maintained, with service records reflecting attentive care of mechanical and structural systems.
