The 2008 Marquis 40 SC is a collaborative design between Italian naval architects Nuvolari-Lenard and Marquis Yachts. Powered by twin Volvo diesel engines with 880 horsepower driving an IPS propulsion system, the boat delivers performance-focused cruising. The IPS joystick control system enables precise maneuvering in tight spaces and docking situations.
The open layout centers on a salon that flows directly into the cockpit through full-opening entrance doors, creating one unified entertaining space. An innovative motorized transom lounge slides aft to add more than 60 square feet of additional cockpit area. Interior finishes include African Zebrano hardwood cabinetry with high-gloss lacquer, wooden cabin sole, and designer appointments. The yacht accommodates two cabins and one head.
Equipment aboard includes a 10kW Kohler generator, premium Garmin navigation and radar system with autopilot, powered sunroof with shade, underwater lighting, teak decking on the cockpit and swim platform, foredeck sunpad, multiple TV and stereo systems throughout, fresh and seawater washdowns, cockpit icemaker and refrigerator, stern capstan winches, and additional IPS control station.
