The 2008 Meridian 459 is a 47-foot diesel motoryacht built on proven hull design with twin Cummins QSB engines delivering strong, economical cruising performance. This example has accumulated only 210 original hours and spent most of its life protected in a boathouse until 2023. Recent comprehensive recommissioning and upgrades have addressed all major systems: the propulsion system received complete service, dripless shaft seals were installed, the refrigerator is new, canvas and enclosure windows have been refreshed with upgraded thicker Isinglass, and 2024 Garmin navigation electronics were added. An Onan 11.5KW generator, Docking on Command system with bow and stern thrusters, and updated autopilot and multifunction displays round out the mechanical package.
The layout separates guest and owner spaces effectively. The forward guest stateroom has its own private head, while the full-beam master suite sits aft with private ensuite facilities and direct cockpit access through large sliding glass doors — a distinctive feature in this class. The salon is anchored by rich cherry wood cabinetry and gloss joinery, with large windows throughout creating natural light and panoramic views. A well-equipped galley with modern appliances and open layout supports extended cruising, and the spacious bridge deck flows to a generous aft cockpit.
Aloft, the flybridge delivers excellent visibility with generous seating, wet bar, and room for entertaining or relaxing at anchor. A swim platform provides easy water access. The fiberglass hull carries 330 gallons of fuel capacity and 90 gallons of water, supporting comfortable extended range. The boat handles easily for an owner-operator, combining the 459's renowned cruisability with the privacy and separation valued during longer voyages.
