The 2008 Meridian 459 is a 47-foot cockpit motor yacht built on a proven fiberglass hull. Twin Cummins QSB 5.9 diesel engines producing 380 horsepower each power the boat, with 1,150 hours on the engines and 1,000-hour service completed by a Cummins technician. She carries 330 gallons of fuel, 90 gallons of fresh water, and 55 gallons of holding capacity. The design centers on a full-beam master stateroom aft with private access to the cockpit—an uncommon layout at this size—paired with a forward guest cabin and two full heads. The main salon features large windows, cherrywood cabinetry, and a raised dining area, while the enclosed flybridge and aft deck connect to create protected entertaining space.
The cockpit benefits from bow and stern thrusters, making docking straightforward. Twin 12-volt cameras provide transom views to port and starboard. Below, the galley includes a three-burner stove, convection microwave, and refrigerator-freezer, while the main salon includes a reclining sofa with pull-out bed and a separate dining sofa. Air conditioning and reverse-cycle heat are zoned throughout, supported by a 12.5 KW Onan generator and central vacuum system.
Electronics have been recently upgraded and include a new Raymarine autopilot, new Raymarine HydridTouch GPS chartplotter with radar, and a new Standard Horizon VHF radio. Additional systems include trim tabs, three bilge pumps, oil exchanger, high water alarm, and a searchlight with remote. The swim platform features an electric anchor windlass and transom shower. Exterior appointments include faux teak decking, dinghy lift system, and boarding doors.
All batteries were replaced in 2025. The boat has been maintained on freshwater throughout its history.
