This 2008 MTI 40 Coupe is a 40-foot high-performance catamaran powered by twin Stage 3 700 Mercury engines producing 1,700 total horsepower. The boat planes out quickly and achieves an impressive 1.3 miles per gallon at a cruise speed of 105 mph at 4,200 rpm with six passengers and full fuel tanks. The fiberglass hull measures 10.75 feet across the beam, delivering the balance and offshore capability expected from the platform.
The twin engines have been recently refreshed by Precision Marine and Mark Boos, with the port engine at 75 hours and starboard at 15 hours of running time since the work. The number 6 drives were completely rebuilt with new stainless prop shafts, and the NXT button transmissions were installed at 45 hours. New headers and full exhaust tailpipes were fitted at 15 hours. Two sets of propellers are included, each with integrated prop holders mounted in the engine bays.
Recent interior updates include a custom Alcantara wrap-around dashboard and new tachometers. The helm features a new Fusion audio head unit. The boat comes with a 2005 Myco tilt trailer that has been fully refurbished from the steel frame up and repainted. The trailer received new tires, brakes, bearings, and hydraulic rams in 2025, and its frame is configured to accommodate MTI RP models from 39 to 44 feet.
