2008 Nordic Tug 42

The Nordic Tug 42 is a fiberglass trawler built for serious cruising across varied waters. Built to Nordic Tug's established standards, this 42-footer features a hard chine semi-displacement hull that delivers a stable, quiet ride and a full keel protecting the rudder and propeller. The single Cummins diesel engine produces 540 horsepower, enabling a top speed of 14 knots and an efficient cruising speed of 9 knots at 1.5 miles per gallon.

The bridge layout resembles larger yachts, with a substantial chart table, expansive cockpit, and convenient deck access. Below, the boat offers a spacious walk-around queen stateroom with private head, a guest stateroom with separate head, a U-shaped galley, and a large salon. Teak and holly soles run throughout the interior.

Recent maintenance and upgrades include a new diesel impeller, bow thruster, and stern thruster battery installed in 2024–2025. The starboard fuel tank sensor, running gear zincs, and zinc propeller paint are all new as of 2026. A fresh bottom paint was applied in 2025 with a touch-up in May 2026. The Kuuma 10-gallon hot water heater dates to 2024. The boat comes with a 2021 Whaly 270 hard dinghy and 4 hp Yamaha outboard that has seen less than 10 hours of use.
