This 2008 Ocean Alexander 48E Classicco is a 50-foot fiberglass motor yacht powered by twin Yammer 480 HP diesel engines. The 2,000-hour service was completed in September 2025, with 1,640 hours logged. Twin bow and stern thrusters (10 HP each) provide excellent maneuvering control. Power generation comes from a 12 KW Northern Lights diesel generator and a 5 x 135 W solar array wired directly to the control panel. An all-chain windlass with Danforth anchor, fuel polishing system, and Glendinning shore power reel round out the mechanical setup.
The saloon is spacious with accommodation for two staterooms. The master features a V-berth with storage on both port and starboard sides, along with custom mattresses and sheets. Climate control includes air conditioning and reverse cycle heating throughout. A hardtop flybridge with full Eisenglass enclosure, wet bar, and built-in barbecue provides outdoor entertaining space.
Navigation and communication systems include dual Raymarine 12-inch displays (bridge and salon), two new Raymarine Axiom 70/90 VHF radios with AIS installed in January 2025, a new Raymarine autopilot from January 2025, and full radar capability. A Tracvision satellite system was added in 2023, and Starlink hardware is fitted. Remote cameras were installed in October 2024 in the engine room and stern, with a new ACR LED spotlight and remote controller also from October 2024. Dockmate remote control handles thrusters, engines, and anchor. A 2026 Gala A330L dinghy with white Tohatsu 30 HP engine is operated by a 1,000 pound crane.
The hull received a full buff and wax in October 2025, with anti-fouling bottom paint scheduled for spring 2026. The boat is stored heated. Northern Lights generator has 1,065 hours of service.
