2008 Silverton 42 Convertible

The 2008 Silverton 42 Convertible is a fiberglass sportfish built to make efficient use of its 42-foot length and nearly 15-foot beam. Twin Yanmar diesel engines producing 960 horsepower provide the power, paired with a new Glendinning digital throttle and shift system. Navigation and control are handled by dual Garmin 8612 displays at the starboard helm and an 8610 forward, supported by a Garmin XHD2 open array radar mounted on a custom pivoting mast that lowers into the cockpit for bridge clearance. A new Reactor 40 autopilot with helm display, new 24V bow thruster, and windlass anchor system round out the primary systems.

Below deck, the convertible layout includes two double-berth staterooms and a head with separate shower stall. The main saloon features a solid cherry table surrounded by a booth settee facing a convertible sofa and entertainment area. Cherry wood cabinetry and trim warm the interior spaces. The galley is positioned centrally within the layout.

Topside, the helm station commands views across a redesigned exterior profile. Recent additions include new Fusion RA770 stereo with JL Audio speakers, new Lumitec LED cockpit lights in white dimmable, red, and blue, new LED lighting in the engine room, a new remote LED spotlight, and a Scanstrut wireless charger. A windlass handles anchor work, and the boat accommodates one head.
