2008 Tiara Yachts 3500 Sovran

The 2008 Tiara Yachts 3500 Sovran is a 33-foot diesel motor yacht powered by twin Volvo IPS 400 pod drives with joystick control. Her nearly 13-foot beam creates unusually generous interior space for a boat of this length. The raised cockpit offers commanding visibility in all directions, and the hull delivers a smooth, dry ride.

The cabin accommodates a queen V-berth forward and an aft lounge with convertible port and starboard sofas. A spacious head with stall shower serves the sleeping quarters. Topside, the cockpit includes a wetbar with refrigeration and a mahogany-trimmed helm console with an electric captain's chair. Raymarine electronics comprise two chart plotter/fish finder units with 12-inch touchscreen displays, digital HD radar, GPS, and autopilot. A Ritchie Navigator compass, ICOM VHF radio, and Clarion stereo round out the navigation and entertainment suite.

Recent mechanical service includes replacement of both superchargers, pulleys, belts, and hoses in 2023, along with new starters that year. The port turbo and starboard exhaust riser were replaced in 2024. Aftercoolers and heat exchangers were removed and cleaned in 2023. The twin IPS pod drives are equipped with updated zincs. The boat carries dual air horns, fire suppression in the engine room, four handheld extinguishers, and carbon monoxide and smoke detectors. An Onan 9 kW diesel generator, three high-output alternators, and a Victron 60-amp battery charger support the electrical systems. Three bilge pumps with helm monitors, raw water strainers, and Racor fuel filters with water separators complete the mechanical package. A new cockpit mooring cover is included.
