The 2008 Tiara Yachts 3900 Sovran is a 39-foot fiberglass motor yacht built around single-stateroom efficiency and thoughtful interior design. She is powered by two Volvo Penta IPS 500 D6 diesel engines that deliver 740 horsepower, with IPS-B pod drives offering joystick control, 360-degree directional authority, and reduced noise and emissions. The engines carry 1125 hours and have been maintained by an authorized Volvo dealer. An 11.5 kW Onan generator with 1000 hours provides substantial onboard power for dual helm air-conditioning units and other systems.
The layout opens the main salon by making efficient use of the IPS drive configuration. The forward owner's stateroom features solid genuine teak joinery, while aft the salon steps down into a media room. The single guest stateroom is well-appointed, and a spacious head with stand-up stall shower and full-frame door anchors the accommodation plan alongside a properly sized galley.
Recent work includes replacement of the ignition switch, water pump, toilet, engine hoses, fuel lines, water lines, sea deck, radar, windshield wipers, spot light, deck lighting, and underwater lighting. The trim tabs, props, and lower units have been refinished with speed coating. All exterior seating upholstery has been renewed. The electrical system has been modified to accept both 30 and 50 amp shore power connections. The hull gelcoat is well maintained. A Starlink system is installed, along with additional pop-up cleats for added deck functionality.
