The 2008 Tiara 3900 Sovran is a 39-foot diesel-powered motor yacht built on a fiberglass hull. Twin Volvo engines produce 740 horsepower, with the IPS pod drive system delivering efficient cruising at 27 knots and a top speed of 32 knots. The IPS system offers 360-degree directional control and joystick command, along with reduced noise and emissions.
The single-stateroom layout maximizes living space through the efficiency of the pod drive architecture. The salon is open and airy, the head is enlarged with a full-frame door and stall shower, and a step-down theater lounging area provides additional relaxation space. The design prioritizes comfort and functionality for extended cruising.
Recent mechanical work includes new IPS pods installed in 2018. A complete cooling system service was performed in 2024, with the raw water side disassembled, pressure tested, and painted, plus fresh water coolant hoses and fluid replaced. Prop shaft seals were completed in 2025, and all belt tensioners, pulleys, and belts were replaced. A Mastervolt charger and new AMG batteries were fitted in 2024.
Interior and exterior updates through early 2025 include new stainless steel Isotherm refrigerators in the galley and cockpit, updated smart televisions, and a new Apollo stereo with multizone control. Electronics were fully updated with a new radome, VHF with AIS, and twin 16-inch Garmin displays. A new inverter, cockpit upholstery, and complete canvas set with camper back, fast back, and helm dividers were also installed.
