2009 Class 40 Owen Clarke Design

This 2009 Class 40 was designed by Owen Clarke and built with a foam-cored epoxy fiberglass hull to Category 0 safety standards, incorporating additional watertight bulkheads. The boat carries a proven offshore racing pedigree, with documented competitive results in Class 40 events including a third-place finish in the Transat Jacques Vabre.

A comprehensive refit completed in 2022–2023 updated the yacht throughout. The work included a new carbon main and headsail (2023), upgraded electronics, refinement of the ballast system, and reinforcement of structural elements. The lightweight hull design is paired with a carbon rig for all-round sailing performance.

The deck layout has been refined for efficient sail handling and short-handed operation. The boat is configured and equipped for offshore campaigns in demanding conditions, with the design and construction proven capable across extended ocean passages.
