This 2009 Northwest Powercat 58 is a fiberglass catamaran built for extended cruising and long-range voyaging. Measuring 58 feet in length with an 18-foot beam, the yacht combines the stability and interior volume of a multihull with semi-displacement hulls designed for fuel efficiency at cruising speeds. Twin Cummins diesel engines produce 900 horsepower, delivering a cruising speed of 20 knots and a maximum speed of 26 knots. The shallow 4-foot-3-inch draft allows access to waters unavailable to larger monohulls.
The main deck features an open-concept salon and galley with oversized windows, a U-shaped galley equipped with full-sized stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, and a lounge area with leather seating and a hi-lo dining table. Sliding aft doors connect the interior to the outside spaces. A pilot house with L-shaped portside seating provides visibility and comfortable sightlines while underway.
Three staterooms provide privacy for owners and guests. The master suite is positioned on deck with a queen berth, panoramic views, and a private en-suite head with walk-in shower. Two additional cabins are located in the hulls—one with a queen berth and one with bunks—each offering good headroom. Three heads are distributed throughout the yacht.
The exterior includes a spacious aft deck suitable for dining or water activities, a flybridge topped with a hard canopy and lounge seating for ten, and stern davits rated for a 14-foot tender. Fuel capacity is approximately 1,000 gallons and water capacity approximately 300 gallons.
