2009 Fountaine Pajot Orana 44

The 2009 Fountaine Pajot Orana 44 is a fiberglass catamaran designed by Joubert–Nivelt and built by the respected French yard. Powered by twin 80-horsepower Volvo diesel engines, she offers a 44-foot length with a 24-foot beam that provides generous stability and living space. The boat features clean, modern lines throughout, with curved details and a mix of warm wood and white finishes that create an open, bright interior. The elevated semi-flybridge helm station seats two to three and allows for easy single-handed sailing, with all sail lines except halyards led to the wheel. Visibility from the helm is excellent.

The three-cabin layout includes an owner's suite with an island bed and separate shower, plus two guest cabins with semi-island berths and their own heads and showers. The saloon connects seamlessly to the cockpit with double doors and no steps, while the galley is positioned starboard for convenience. Three large forward portholes and corner fans provide ventilation. Storage throughout includes numerous cubbies in sleeping areas. A washing machine is installed aboard. The spacious cockpit accommodates large gatherings, and the trampoline forward provides access to the anchor windlass and stargazing space.

In 2024, the hull received new bottom paint (Islands 44 TF, three coats including reinforced coverage at leading edges and waterline), and the anchor chain was replaced with 250 feet of 10mm G30 galvanized chain. The watermaker was serviced with three new membranes and a new pump. A portable 8,000 BTU air conditioner and a 2,200-watt Hyundai inverter generator were added, and a new foredeck sun shade was installed. Off-grid living systems are in place, supported by solar panels mounted on the coach roof.
