2009 Hylas 46

This 2009 Hylas 46 is a German Frers-designed cruising yacht built for offshore confidence and owner operation. The fiberglass hull combines a steady sea-keeping form with practical deck ergonomics: a center cockpit positioned for safe working in real weather, wide side decks with secure handholds, and a raised saloon delivering bright interior space with excellent visibility and ventilation. The shoal draft keel suits shallow water cruising in the Bahamas and similar environments. A single 75-horsepower Yammer diesel powers the boat with simplicity and reliability.

Below deck, the yacht accommodates two cabins and two heads. The raised saloon provides the light and airflow that matter over weeks at anchor. System access is notably good for the class, with companionway ladder and panel design offering direct reach to service points and robust, maintainable filtration.

Recent substantial work positions this yacht ready to cruise. Standing rigging was replaced in 2024. New Mack Sails high clew Yankee and staysail were added in 2023. Hinckley Yacht Services completed a Victron MultiPlus inverter and charger, new Lifeline and Northstar AGM batteries, a dripless shaft seal, and a Vetus 24V bow thruster with joystick control. A line cutter, new dodger, and air conditioning service were finished in 2026. Engine and generator service was completed in November 2025. The boat also carries Kato davits with tender and outboard, a Forespar aluminum carbon fiber whisker pole, and an all-purpose cruising spinnaker. Interior and cockpit soft goods have been refreshed.
