2009 Ranger 188 VX

The 2009 Ranger 188 VX is an 18-foot fiberglass bay boat built for serious fishing. It runs on a single Mercury 175 hp Optimax engine and comes with a single-axle trailer. The hull holds 38 gallons of fuel and features a 24-gallon livewell, making it well-suited for day trips on shallow water.

The boat is rigged with fishing-focused equipment throughout. A Minn Kota 70 Maxxum trolling motor handles low-speed positioning. Two Lowrance electronics units are mounted at the bow—a Hook Reveal and an Elite 5DSI—with an additional X135 at the bow that is not operational. The console carries a Lowrance Hook Reveal for navigation and sonar. Rod storage includes seven holders on the port side and additional capacity on the starboard side.
