2009 Stingray 225 LR
About This Yacht
The 2009 Stingray 225 LR is a 22-foot bay boat built on a fiberglass hull with a single 220-horsepower Volvo gasoline engine. The design features a distinctive three-point running surface extending beneath the integrated swim platform, engineered to provide a stable ride and quicker plane-off. At nearly 23 feet in length with an 8-foot beam, the boat offers deep freeboard and substantial beam for open-water capability combined with a spacious cockpit layout.
The cockpit centers on a U-shaped seating configuration that maximizes capacity for passengers and crew. Seat bases provide cavernous storage throughout, while a removable rectangular fiberglass table can be mounted fore or aft and stowed under the rear sundeck. A custom filler cushion converts the walk-thru companionway—featuring a bench seat step for easy boarding—into a full sundeck when not in use. The fiberglass liner with molded-in bases is designed for low maintenance and can accommodate optional snap-in carpet.
The helm features a two-level fiberglass dash with soft-touch vinyl surfaces. A four-in-one gauge cluster monitors fuel, engine temperature, oil pressure, and volts, while the layout includes remote stereo controls, rocker switches, and a locking glove box with built-in stereo compartment on the passenger side. Under-helm storage is accessible via starboard doors with stainless steel hinges. Recessed speakers and stainless steel cup holders complete the cockpit environment.
Forward, curved bow seats increase the walkway and legroom in the bow area, where you'll find additional speakers, a built-in cooler with overboard drain, and an anchor locker with stainless steel hardware. Five stainless steel pop-up cleats—positioned forward, amidships, and aft—facilitate secure docking and rigging.
