The 2009 Timmerman Expedition Tri-Deck is a 147-foot steel-hulled explorer powered by twin Caterpillar diesel engines delivering 2,200 horsepower. She cruises at 11.5 knots with a top speed of 13 knots, built to handle extended global voyages with the seaworthiness that expedition yachts demand.
The layout centers on comfort and recreation across her three decks. The sun deck features a jacuzzi and multiple lounging areas. The sky lounge functions as a second salon, while the forward master suite includes a private movie room. Five guest cabins and six crew cabins—including captain's and pilot guide berths—provide accommodation for ten. Eight heads serve the spaces throughout.
The aft lower deck has been transformed into a dedicated beach club and aquatic sports center, fitted with a Nitrox dive compressor system, gear storage, and a full-beam deployable swim platform. Recent work included new engines and generators, fresh shafts, complete sea-valve and tank replacement, LED lighting conversion, rebuilt windlasses with new chain, and electrical and structural upgrades. A 15-year class survey was completed as part of the refit program.
