2009 Wauquiez Pilot Saloon 55

The Wauquiez Pilot Saloon 55 is a 58-foot fiberglass cruising sailboat built in 2008 and delivered in 2009. She features a pearl grey gelcoat hull with a deep bulb keel and 2.3-meter draft. Power comes from a Yanmar 4JH4-HTE diesel engine rated at 110 horsepower, paired with shaft transmission and a three-blade foldable Max Prop propeller. At 2,000 engine hours as of October 2025, the engine has received routine service in 2025 and heat exchanger inspections in 2023.

The saloon is defined by panoramic windows overlooking the water. Below deck, the boat accommodates four cabins and three heads: a full owner's cabin, two guest cabins forward each with private heads, and a crew cabin with double bunks and its own head. The galley features a functional U-shaped layout. A teak deck runs across the passageways and cockpit. Additional comfort systems include a bow thruster, furling mast, genset, air conditioning, 100-liter-per-hour desalinator, combined washer-dryer, deep freezer, and ice machine.

Navigation and communication equipment is comprehensive: a full Raymarine package with three 12-inch hybrid touch displays, radar, AIS, and VHF. Sails include a new genoa and a gennaker. Fuel capacity is 570 liters with an additional 80-liter option; water tanks total 800 liters across two units; waste capacity comprises three 60-liter tanks.

Recent maintenance includes service battery replacement in June 2025 and replacement of all 28 seacocks in June 2025. The bimini top and cockpit canvas were replaced in 2023. A full winter deck cover is included. The boat shows no declared structural damage since new.
