The 2010 CNM Continental 50 is one of only eleven express cruisers built by Cantieri Navali del Mediterraneo in Rome. At 52 feet 5 inches long with a 14-foot 7-inch beam and 3-foot 2-inch draft, the boat combines Italian design with high-performance offshore capability. Twin MAN D2876 LE423 diesel engines producing 800 horsepower each drive Arneson Surface Drives paired with four-blade propellers. This surface-piercing propulsion system reduces drag and increases efficiency while eliminating conventional rudders, delivering the handling characteristics typical of offshore race boats. Engine hours stand at 922 on the port side and 923 on the starboard side.
The interior features a two-cabin layout with a master cabin forward and guest double cabin on the port side, along with two full heads and showers. Leather and wood finishes run throughout, including the wheelhouse helm seating. The salon includes a Samsung television and FRIGOMAR inverter-driven chiller air conditioning. The aft cockpit spans the full width with wood decking and stepped teak side decks, while hydraulic side balconies expand the usable deck space. A bimini top, synthetic swim platform, and underwater LED lighting complete the outdoor spaces.
Construction consists of an FRP composite hull and deck with a chemically and mechanically bonded shoebox joint, longitudinal stringers with transverse framing, and laminated steel-reinforced engine beds. Watertight bulkheads are positioned at the collision zone, engine room, and transom. Bottom moisture testing completed in February 2025 showed no delamination, and the black antifouling paint remains in good condition. Bow and stern thrusters handle close-quarters maneuvering.
Electronics include Furuno chartplotter, GPS, autopilot, and VHF radio, alongside Airmar depth and speed sensors, a Riviera Urania compass, and integrated helm controls. Power comes from a 10-kilowatt MECCALTE generator installed in 2018 with 187 running hours, Victron inverter and battery chargers, dual battery banks, and 60-amp shore power. The boat carries 520 gallons of fuel and 145 gallons of water, with a LOFRANS windlass and 25-kilogram stainless anchor.
