2010 Custom 50

This 2010 Custom 50 is a purpose-built catamaran designed around speed, shallow-water access, and open living space. Twin Caterpillar C12 diesel engines deliver 700 horsepower each to Arneson ASD-10 surface drives, achieving a cruising speed of 30 knots and a top speed of 38 knots. The catamaran hull is fiberglass, 50 feet long with a 14.67-foot beam, and draws shallow enough to access destinations beyond the reach of conventional monohulls.

The deck layout prioritizes usable space. The cockpit is generously proportioned for divers, fishing gear, water toys, or guests without crowding. A secondary helm station in the cockpit aids with docking and maneuvering, while the flybridge helm provides visibility underway. The catamaran's beam creates an open, airy salon that feels substantially larger than conventional 50-foot yachts. The interior includes two staterooms and two heads, arranged to provide comfortable accommodations for extended voyages while leaving room for entertaining or commercial-style operations.

The twin-hull platform delivers stability both underway and at anchor, supporting comfortable extended time on the water. Combined with the shallow draft characteristics of the surface drives, the boat can reach anchorages and destinations typically restricted to smaller, shallower-draft vessels. The design reflects a specific mission profile suited to varied uses—from exploration and dive operations to fast support work or private charter service.
