This 2010 Hinckley Picnic Boat 37 MKIII combines purposeful downeast design with robust construction and refined interior finishing. The hull employs Hinckley's DualGuard composite method—Kevlar and E-glass outer skin over aircraft-grade end-grain balsa, with a carbon-fiber inner skin and SCRIMP lamination. The boat is powered by twin Volvo D6 diesel engines of 370 horsepower each, paired with Hamilton jet drives and ZF transmissions, delivering a cruising speed of 30 knots and maximum speed of 34 knots. A 7-inch hydraulic bow thruster and the Hinckley "Jet Stick" integrated control system provide exceptional maneuverability. Trim tabs, joystick control, and comprehensive engine monitoring round out the performance package.

The pilothouse and cockpit prioritize visibility and practicality. Large electrically opening side windows in the pilothouse frame the teak-finished interior, while the cockpit offers cushioned transom seating, a starboard transom door to the swim platform, and a full complement of cleats and fender systems. Teak surfaces throughout include toe rails, handrails, capped coaming, and a boarding step. Navigation electronics include a new Garmin chartplotter with 48-inch 4-KW radar array, Raymarine autopilot with GyroPlus interfacing, Raymarine multifunction display, and Icom VHF.

Below, the single cabin accommodates with satin-varnished cherry joinery and teak cabin sole. The forward V-berth offers comfortable sleeping quarters with cedar-lined hanging locker and storage beneath. Port-side galley features Corian counters, Grohe stainless fixtures, electric cooktop, microwave, and Adler Barbour refrigeration. The starboard head includes a Grohe shower, Sealand Vacu-Flush head plumbed to a 27-gallon holding tank, and tiled molded fiberglass sole.

Twin 370-horsepower diesel engines were installed new in 2023. Air conditioning and heating systems serve all spaces. The 9-kW generator and Victron inverter/charger support 110-volt systems, while dual battery banks and sophisticated 12-volt distribution ensure reliable onboard power. Recent updates include new pilothouse cushions in 2023 and a new Stamoid cockpit cover. The Muir electric windlass with stainless steel Delta anchor and rode rounds out the ground tackle system.
