2010 Leopard 38

The 2010 Leopard 38 is a fiberglass catamaran built for extended cruising, with four cabins and two heads suitable for families or multiple couples. Her 37.5-foot length and nearly 20-foot beam provide the spacious accommodation and stability typical of the class. Twin 58-horsepower Yammer diesel engines power the hull.

This boat has received substantial upgrades over several years. The systems include 1,200 watts of rigid solar panels paired with 900 amp-hours of lithium batteries, supporting a high-efficiency air-conditioning system capable of running from battery power. Fresh water comes from a Rainman watermaker with an RO drinking system at the galley sink. Electronics comprise a Garmin multifunction display with Doppler radar, Raymarine autopilot with multiple control heads, and a Simrad backup plotter with fishfinder. An electric winch and Starlink internet connectivity are installed. Interior amenities include dimmable, color-adjustable LED lighting throughout, under-deck and under-hull accent lights, and wiring for a projector with drop-down screen.

Safety and cruising equipment is comprehensive. The boat carries a six-person life raft, EPIRB, and offshore vests. Ground tackle consists of 200 feet of 3/8-inch anchor chain with an oversized Excel anchor. A newer Highfield Ultralight dinghy with 20-horsepower power and console tender is included. The main sail is newer with a third reef, and a spinnaker with rigging is aboard. Most working lines run to the helm, and a custom stainless stern rack provides additional storage.

The salon windows exhibit the known cracking tendency of the Leopard design; these have remained stable and have not leaked during the current ownership. Cushions throughout the interior and exterior have been customized, and wraparound cockpit sunshades cover the helm area.
