2010 Ocean Alexander 80 Motoryacht

The 2010 Ocean Alexander 80 is a fiberglass motoryacht built to the exacting standards that define Pacific Northwest cruising. Naval Architect Ed Monk Jr. and hydrodynamicist Ed Hegemann collaborated on the design, creating a pilothouse configuration optimized for extended voyages. Twin MTU 10V2000 diesel engines rated at 1,500 hp each deliver power through ZF 2150 gearboxes with 2.958:1A reduction ratios, complemented by MTU electronic engine controls and dual Northern Lights 25kW gensets with sound shields and air-water separators.

Below deck, five staterooms and five heads accommodate owners and guests across multiple levels. The main deck houses a dayhead between the salon and galley-pilothouse area. Three forward staterooms each feature ensuite heads, while crew quarters provide separate cabins for captain and crew, along with a dedicated galley and private head. Japanese Sakura cherry wood in satin and matte finishes throughout the interior combines warmth with durability.

Stabilization and maneuvering systems include a Keypower KPRS 12-square-foot active roll fin stabilizer, a Keypower KP14 36 hp proportional hydraulic bow thruster, and a Keypower KP12 25 hp proportional hydraulic stern thruster. The boat deck spans a generous space with an awning, capable of hosting both a tender and personal watercraft. Equipment includes dual watermakers—FCI MAX-Q 1,800 gpd and Sea Recovery Aqua Whisper 1,200 gpd—a comprehensive Furuno navigation suite with three 17-inch Seatronx monitors at the lower helm, Furuno full-circle sonar, FLIR M-625CS thermal imaging, and Octoplex vessel monitoring with multiple displays. A Muir VRC4000C hydraulic windlass and Steelhead Marine boatdeck crane handle ground tackle and tender operations. The package includes a 2015 Yamaha FX Waverunner and a 13.6-foot Nautica center console RIB with 50 hp Yamaha four-stroke outboard.
