2011 Alerion Sport 33

The 2011 Alerion Sport 33 is a performance-oriented 33-foot sailing yacht built with infusion-molded fiberglass hull and deck, designed for responsive handling and efficient cruising. Powered by a 20 hp Yanmar diesel engine with a folding propeller, she reaches a cruising speed of just over 6 knots. Her hull—finished in jade mist green with white boot stripe and gold cove stripe—sits on a fin keel and is reinforced with end grain balsa core and integral longitudinal stringers. The yacht features a carbon fiber mast by Hall Spars, Harken rod rigging, and self-tacking jib for simplified sail handling.

The open cockpit prioritizes single-handed operation with two electric Harken winches at the helm controlling all halyards and sheets led below deck. Wheel steering with Edson pedestal, a Raymarine ST70 Smart Pilot autopilot, and full deck cushioning with varnished teak sole and toe rail create a comfortable working platform. The cockpit drains are self-managing, and a 6:1 mainsheet traveler track with helm-mounted controls completes the sail-handling setup.

The single cabin accommodates a V-berth forward with storage beneath, while the main cabin houses full-length settees on both sides. The galley includes an Isotherm top-loading refrigerator, Origo alcohol stove, stainless steel sink, and ample locker storage. The enclosed head features a Raritan marine toilet with teak seat cover, sink, and adjacent stowage. Interior finishes throughout include teak trim, teak and holly cabin sole, and removable overhead panels.

Electrical systems operate on 12-volt DC with two 4D gel cell batteries, a battery charger, and 110-volt shore power capability. Raymarine electronics include a C90 display, ST 60 wind and speed instruments, ST70 autopilot, and 55 VHF radio. Fuel capacity is 18 gallons, fresh water 16 gallons, and holding tank 11 gallons. The yacht includes a Fortress anchor with rode and chain, life jackets, cockpit cover, fenders, docklines, and all owner's manuals.
