2011 Beneteau First 40

A 2011 Beneteau First 40 developed in partnership with Farr Yacht Design, combining performance sailing characteristics with practical cruising capabilities. The hull and rig are engineered for offshore passages and responsive handling across varying wind conditions. Powered by a 40-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine, she achieves a cruising speed of 6 knots with a maximum speed of 7.9 knots.

The interior accommodates three cabins, including two aft cabins with double berths and a forward cabin with double berth and storage. The saloon seats up to eight around a large foldable table, with a dedicated navigation station to starboard and a well-equipped galley to port. A single head with shower serves the interior. Topside, the cockpit is spacious and ergonomic, with substantial crew and storage space plus a major storage compartment beneath the sole for extended cruising gear and safety equipment.

Navigation and systems include a comprehensive Garmin suite installed between 2022 and 2023: GPSMAP 923 chartplotter, GMR-18 radar, Reactor autopilot with linear drive, four GMI-10 repeater instruments, and AIS-400 transponder. Additional systems feature Hydrovane windvane steering, LiFePO4 batteries with solar charging, and Starlink mini connectivity.

This boat has seen regular cruising service since 2021, including Baltic passages in 2022 and a successful Atlantic crossing completed in January 2024. She was subsequently cruised in the Caribbean. The current ownership has invested in equipment repairs, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance. One aft cabin mattress requires replacement; a mattress cover is aboard.
